His career started behind the bar as a bartender and bar manager, where he honed his skills in creating specialty drinks and managing a brewery. This hands-on experience laid a solid foundation for his future endeavors.

Bruce's entrepreneurial spirit soon led him to open a boutique wine shop. Here, he expanded his expertise by selling wine and spirits to various lodges across Alaska. His ability to understand consumer preferences and market trends quickly set him apart in the industry.

Before taking on his current role as President at Liquor Stores USA North Inc., Bruce made significant contributions at Brown Jug, the largest alcohol retailer in Alaska. As the category manager for spirits, he was responsible for selecting over 7,000 wines and spirits for 21 retail locations. His role involved organizing public tastings, creating control-brand wine programs, and selecting whiskey barrels, showcasing his keen eye for quality and innovation.
