Founder at Terragena Wine
Without soul wine is just juice.
Making wine in rural Northern California I have learned every step of operating and marketing a small winery through experience and intentional education. The value of a self taught understanding coupled with an amazing resource of mentors means I can conquer any challenge in the industry. In addition to a deep knowledge of wine production and harvest logistics, I also have an understanding of general and inventory accounting and compliance requirements for a small to medium sized winery. Additionally I utilize my background in mathematical economics to understand marketing statistics and trends as well as any other quantitative problems.
I have experience in all aspects of rural real estate development, from planning and zoning to contractor management and development requirements. I also have extensive construction abilities and knowledge of NEC and UPC building code requirements in plumbing and electrical work as well as carpentry framing and building construction/renovation experience. Additionally I have an understanding of off grid requirements and the various methods of meeting the energy and water needs of a property independent from traditional infrastructure.
I have produced several 90+ point wines (WE), and have extensive experience in producing high end Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, as well as other less common varietal wines such as Nebbiolo. I also have an understanding of production of quality mass consumption wines at affordable price points. These abilities are a result of experience and an understanding of wine chemistry, fermentation management, cooperage, cellar treatments, and the resulting outcome for the sensory profile of the wine.
