International Bulk Wine & Spirits Show which is all set to happen in San Francisco on July 25-26, 2023 will also be hosting a restaurant panel along with other keynotes and panels. There will be 24+ speakers delivering 16 talks over two days at the South San Francisco Conference Center. One of the most sought-after talks will be a chance to hear directly from restaurant buyers on how they manage and buy private labels.
Panelists will include:
1. Maurice DiMarino: Wine and Beverage Manager at Cohn Restaurant Group
2. Cami Lehmann: Director of Marketing, Maggiano’s Little Italy at Brinker International
3. Jim Bube MS: Wine Director at Hogsalt
4. Rachel Lowe: Director of Beverage Operations at Levy Restaurants
The panel will provide hands-on experience to sales and marketing professionals looking to understand how national and regional restaurant chains plan and manage their private label programs.

Some of the questions Sid will be asking the buyers directly include:
- What are you buying more and buying less in the next 12 months and why?
- How does the RFP process work, which brokers and agencies do they work with and how can small and medium-sized brands get past doorkeepers and get a chance for meetings?
- Apart from quality, price and package, what other items are part of the brand's qualification criteria? Like the distribution network, pick-up points, terms, and support program.
- What should suppliers include in their deck when meeting the buyer for the first time and what does a good meeting look like to them?
- How do you measure brand performance internally and how do you increase or decrease current SKU orders based on that?
- What's that ‘one thing’ if a supplier did or said to you, turn their chances high to get a placement?
The panel will be at 1 pm on July 25 for 40 minutes where 20 minutes will be allocated for audience Q and A. Suppliers can ask personal questions that relate to their business to the buyers in the panel. This is a great chance for brands to understand how they can sell to these chains.
