Stettyn Cellar and its vineyards are located 15 kilometers north of Villiersdorp, in the eastern foothills of the Klein Drakenstein mountains. A wide range of slopes and soil types, creativity, and years of tradition, have all contributed to creating these distinctive handcrafted wines.

Stettyn's modern history began in 1719 when the first estate was given to free-burghers Cloete and Radyn, who had ancestors from Stettin in old Prussia. Since the cellar's founding in 1963, vineyards on the farms of Stettyn, Jonkersrivier, and De Hoek have been the primary source of wine, although each farm's winemaking tradition dates back far further. The Botha family purchased Stettyn in 1818 and has owned it for eight generations. 

Over the years, Stettyn Cellar has evolved from a classic wholesale wine provider to a modern market-driven wine business. Chardonnay, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, and Semillon are becoming more popular in their portfolio and is an integral part of their upcoming plans.

The Stettyn wine list is compiled of distinct ranges, to appeal to a wide range of palates: 

 - The Signature Reserve Range is full-bodied, wood-matured, and directed toward aging potential.

 - Stone Range is a blend of red wine and Colombard white.

 - Stettyn Family vineyards range is their easy-drinking range, lower in alcohol content, and better suited to light entertainment.

 - Stettyn's grape juice is an excellent alcohol-free alternative in both red and white.

Stettyn Cellar also provides cheese and wine pairings and wine tastings in addition to their extensive wine selection.

The environment in the area where the farms are located is ideal for growing high-quality grapes, with cold winters that encourage good vine dormancy and temperate summers that promote lengthy, slow ripening. The overall vineyard area is 364 hectares, with an annual grape yield of around 6000 tons. 

Stettyn Cellar is gradually changing into an outward-looking wine business, thanks to a small team of committed wine farmers led by winemaker Albie Treurnicht who has coupled a quality-first approach with innovative winemaking.
