Wine
Our company was established in 1968, and ever since then Weinhaus Kft. managed to stay in the top five largest grape processing and winemaking factories in Hungary, thanks to our continuous renewal. The company’s privatization in 1994 and the change of the ownership and management were the most pronounced turning points in our startegy, when we became more customer-oriented. Our mission is to get our wines to the tables of our customers at a consistently good quality and affordable prices. Our winery plant can process an average of 12- 15 million kilograms of grapes a year and has a storage capacity of 16 million liters. We make our wines from the produce of our own vineyards and from grapes purchased from dedicated growers. In 2017, we decided to increase our storage capacity by 400.000 liters. A new warehouse is also being built, where we will be able to store 1.5 million bottles of wine. We hope that this project will give us the ability to manage our production even more smoothly. In 2015 we decided to open a small factory in one of Hungary’s most well-know wine regions, Tokaj, so now we can have most famous Hungarian wine, Tokaji Aszú in our product range. This made us face new challanges, as it is located almost 350 kilometers away from our headquarters, which helped us the improve our problem solving skills. We sell roughly 10 million of bottles of wine every year, Throughout the last few years the company became export-oriented, almost half of our bottled wines exit Hungary’s boarders, our main partners are Germany, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland. In Hungary, our wines end up on the shelves of almost every hypermarket, supermarket and discount store in the country. We also sell in bulk, mostly for foreign markets, including Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic and Sweden. We assign our distribution tasks to third-party experts who specialize in the field with whom we have a long-term collaboration. Our professional and consistently precise logistic partners are engaged mostly in the supply of our raw and packaging materials (grapes, bottles, labels, etc.) and the delivery of our products (bulk and bottled wines). We prefer local contractors, thus greatly supporting the regional labor market. We prepare the bottled products with the outmost consideration to the requirements set together with our clients. Our customers’ private label product families represent a significant proportion on our range of products. We would like to cater to as many wine drinker’s needs as possible, so our range of products is wide. We devote special importance to the quality of our products, which is guaranteed by its food safety considerations, amongst others. Therefore, we have been operating the HACCP system for years and since 2008, we have developed and successfully operated a quality management system certified according to the requirements of IFS (International Featured Standard). In addition to technological innovations, we also raised the quality of our professional winery activity by studying the modern global trends and tendencies in winemaking. Our complex enterprise resource planning system covers all the activities of the company, especially the traceability of the products.
