Wine
VIA Wines was founded in 1998 by a group of friends from different parts of the world who shared a passion for wine. Together they traveled and researched the country’s different wine regions with the dream of creating unique and innovative wines of international attraction. Their tireless search led them to in San Rafael, in the heart of the Maule Valley, where they found the unrivaled terroir conditions they were looking for to turn their dream of VIA Wines into reality. They chose the name VIA from the Latin “The Way” to articulate the vision of a new and bold winery based on Chile’s viticultural diversity but open to the future. The essence of the winery is found in the principle of excellence for making and offering wines of the highest quality to the world. Today VIA Wines owns more than 1,000 hectares of vineyards planted in Chile’s most outstanding wine regions, where they grow the fruit to make the wines that faithfully reflect the spirit of its brands. Over the course of its short history, VIA Wines has become one of Chile’s major exporters of premium wines. The VIA Wines philosophy is based on making unique and innovative wines of the highest quality using the principles of sustainable viticulture and excellence in the wine-making processes. VIA is a winery where diversity predominates and where the human element—our team—is essential.
