R6 DISTILLERY was established in 2014 after Rob Rubens, the Founder, fell in love with the art of distilling during his unplanned trip to Old New Orleans Rum distillery. He knew it was time for a change. After spending the better part of a decade in corporate America and realizing that was not his path, Rob visited distilleries and breweries across the country and decided it was time to make waves. Coupling his experience with his desire to make quality spirits, Rob opened a speakeasy inspired distillery for everyone to enjoy. R6 DISTILLERY is a family and veteran owned distillery in El Segundo, California, just south of Los Angeles International Airport. As a grain-to-glass distillery, R6 DISTILLERY focuses on locally-sourced, high-quality ingredients. R6 DISTILLERY maintains close relationships with their farmers, giving back spent grain for cattle feed to the farms. R6 does spirits right by not cutting any corners, while creating a space for other entrepreneurs to create custom crafted spirits and ready-to-drink beverages. R6 DISTILLERY represents these purpose driven companies through the sourcing process, TTB development, production, and distribution. R6 creates recipes for dozens of award-winning spirits and non-alcoholic beverage brands. R6 DISTILLERY is currently producing 55,000 (9L) cases in El Segundo, CA with a capacity to fulfill 85,000 (9L) cases, or 55% capacity. The 2021 R6 DISTILLERY expansion project has the distillery slated to open a 2nd facility in Long Beach, CA where are capacity will expand 4x by 2024.
